The "Life Call" marks the true beginning of a story, serving as the inciting incident that disrupts the participant's ordinary life. It presents an extraordinary quest or challenge that pulls the hero/participant out of their comfort zone. This pivotal moment can manifest in various forms:
An invitation
A cryptic warning
An unexpected crisis
Regardless of its form, the "Life Call" forces the hero/participant to make a choice: will they accept the challenge and venture into the unknown, or remain in their familiar world?
The "Life Call" is a transformative moment for the participant.
It disrupts normalcy
It presents a challenge
It sets the stage for growth
It ignites the desire to discover true purpose.
The stakes are higher in our country today, and tension is building. I am investigating my purpose in this, and I hope you will, too. Answering the "Life Call" will be challenging because there are obstacles.
Maybe we have a message to send
Maybe we know how to solve a crisis
Maybe we are supposed to uncover a hidden truth
Maybe we encounter or become a mentor
Whatever the case, it requires character for the potential internal conflicts and growth arcs as the stakes, challenges, and consequences of the journey lay ahead.
This year is starting with a bang and there are so many questions about what is ahead of us. In all the foreshadowing, let's have empathy for one another. What is your "Life Call" for such a time as this?
