Do you believe in angels, demons, or even aliens? What are your thoughts on the first living beings or life before the flood? No, this book is not a Christian story, but it does have a bit of history in it. This book is about secrets, mysteries, discoveries, murder, and so much more. Victoria, Alex, and Giovanni made mind-blowing discoveries that they aren't sure how to make public. These discoveries are very terrifying, dangerous, and possibly even fatal!

Kaira, estranged from her grandmother due to an unknown family feud, was invited to her grandmother's wake. She wasn't sure what to expect, but what followed left her speechless and bewildered. Coming to the Wake opened a whole new world to her. The Vatican, astronomers, the Catholic Church, the Westonville Historical Society, treasure hunters, gigantic skeletons, megalithic ruins, gateways—you name it, it is here in this book, and it will leave you wondering. In this book, we go through the journey of exploring history and the future, and it leaves you wondering if mythology could be more than just myth. How do science and religion connect? In this book, "fiction becomes fact, and legends become nightmares." Be prepared for a huge thrill ride!

The book has a slow but very interesting start. It makes me think of world-building as we learn the ‘who’ and ‘what’ behind the characters, societies, and places. This is needed to understand the book and the intriguing plot that is building right from the start. You immediately realize that the story is full of secrets, mystery, and danger. The suspense and intrigue just keep building. You receive glimpses of where the story might be heading, but then a new interesting reveal gets thrown into the building plot. Once I started getting into the book around page 20, I struggled to put it down! Who are the real good and bad guys?

If you enjoy murder mysteries with a plot full of secrets, discoveries, danger, treasure, and, of course, romance, this is the book for you! This book reflected on religion and the history of the pre-flood era, but I won't say this book is only for a certain religion, as that isn't what the book is about. It is only one of the platforms to bring this story and the discoveries made together. It is indeed a fascinating book.

There weren’t really any complaints about the book. I did catch a few errors in the book, but they were mainly missing quotation marks. I would rate Fallen Race: The Inheritance by Melissa Saulnier 4 out of 5 stars. The only reasons why I deducted a star were the errors found and the slow start of the book. I really enjoyed reading this book, and I can't wait to start its sequel next.
